台北市劉先生今年過年前，買了一輛新的機車，把老舊機車交給機車行代為處理，認為這樣就算是「報廢」了，直到日前收到排氣檢驗通知，嚇了一跳，以為是環保單位搞錯，經向監理所詢問，才曉得還需辦理報廢登記。劉先生農曆過年前，打算把騎了20年的機車汰換，前往機車行選購新車，順便就將舊車交給機車行處置，沒想到，過了半年竟還是收到環保署寄來的機車排氣通知單，氣得打去環保署抱怨，機車老早就丟了，竟然還收到檢驗通知。
